How does it work?
We mount an antenna either on the
roof of your building or on a post next to it. This antenna
hooks to a card in you computer. This connects your computer/office to
our Internet Backbone via the wireless signal between the antenna
at your location and one on our side. Your Internet is now "on"
whenever your computer is on! No more dialing! So cancel that
second phone line, and get ready for some FAST
Internet!
Do I need any special equipment?
No.
Your installation charge and monthly fee cover the rental of the
equipment needed for a standard installation. Under certain circumstances
a customer may be required to purchase additional equipment to meet some
special needs.
How fast is it?
Our wireless goes up to 2MB
(approx 70 times faster than dial-up).
Is it available
to everyone?
It is available to businesses in and
around Fairbury at this point. Certain locations may be able to
receive service up to 6 miles from Fairbury and we plan to expand
our coverage area depending on customer interest, so let us know
if you think you may be interested!
Unfortunately, certain
obstructions beyond our control can prevent our service from working in all areas.
