How-To update Route24.net Mail Server information


Update Outlook Express
Update Outlook Express when using Norton AntiVirus 2001


Outlook Express Instructions:
1. Open Outlook Express (your mail client).
2. Select Tools, click Accounts.
3. Click the Mail tab at the top.
4. Find and double-click mail.Route24.net in the list
      -This may be the only item listed
5. Click the Servers tab at the top.
6. Change the Incoming Mail (POP3) setting to pop3.route24.net
7. Change the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) setting to smtp.route24.net
8. Click OK button.
9. Click Close button.
10. Exit Outlook Express.


 Outlook Express Instructions when using Norton AntiVirus 2001:

Disable NAV 2001 email protection:
1. Exit any running email programs.
2. Start Norton AntiVirus.
3. Click Options. If you are using SystemWorks, then click Norton AntiVirus.
4. Click Email Protection.
5. Uncheck all boxes in the Email clients list box.
6. Click OK.

Change Outlook Express Settings
1. Open Outlook Express (your mail client).
2. Select Tools, click Accounts.
3. Click the Mail tab at the top.
4. Find and double-click mail.Route24.net in the list
      -This may be the only item listed
5. Click the Servers tab at the top.
6. Change the Incoming Mail (POP3) setting to pop3.route24.net
7. Change the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) setting to smtp.route24.net
8. Click OK button.
9. Click Close button.
10. Exit Outlook Express.

1. Exit any running email programs.
2. Start Norton AntiVirus.
3. Click Options. If you are using SystemWorks, then click Norton AntiVirus.
4. Click Email Protection.
5. Check all boxes in the Email clients list box.
6. Click OK.
