Ad-Aware SE Installation & Use
Note: It may be a good idea to print this page for easy reference during installation.
1. Download.
- Click here to download the installer.
- When prompted to Open or Save, choose Open.
- Once the download has completed, Setup will begin.
2. Setup & Run.
- Click Next at the Ad-Aware SE Personal welcome screen.
- Check I accept the license agreement, then click Next.
- Click Next at the Destination Location screen.
- Click Next at the Install to All Users menu screen.
- Click Next at the Start Installation screen.
- UNCHECK the Open the help file now checkbox and click Finish.
- Click OK to check for updates now.
- Click Connect on the WebUpdate screen.
- Click OK to the Download & Install new definition file prompt.
- Click Finish.
- Ad-Aware SE main window appears.
- Click Start at the bottom-right of that window.
- Choose Perform Full System Scan and click Next.
- When scan has completed, click Next at the bottom-right of that window.
- RIGHT-CLICK the first item in the Scanning Results section and click Select All Object
- Click Next, then OK to confirm object removal.
- If prompted to allow Ad-Aware to perform a scan after reboot, choose Yes.
- Close Ad-Aware SE window.
